The Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster pickup is now in production, with the first batch of vehicles rolling off the assembly line at the company’s Hambach, France, facility. The Grenadier Quartermaster is a five-seat, double-cab pickup truck that shares the same rugged and utilitarian design as the Grenadier Station Wagon. It features a box-section ladder frame chassis, heavy-duty solid beam axles, a two-speed transfer case, and up to three locking differentials. Powering the vehicle is a choice of BMW 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six-cylinder petrol or diesel engines, transmitting power to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF.

Design and Specifications

The Grenadier Quartermaster is the dual-cab 4×4 ute version of the lauded Grenadier wagon. It shares all of its key DNA with the five-door but throws in a significantly longer (+305mm) wheelbase and the obviously different rear cargo area (tub versus boot). The 1564x1619mm tub can swallow a Euro pallet and has a maximum payload of up to 907kg depending on the variant.

All Grenadiers offer the choice of a BMW N58-series 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (210kW/450Nm) or the German car-maker’s B57-series 3.0-litre turbo-diesel (183kW/550Nm). Both straight sixes are paired to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission as standard, along with a full-time four-wheel drive system and a Tremec low-range transfer case.
