Salman Khan’s film, Tiger 3, had a strong start at the box desk, earning 40 crore rupees in India and approximately$2.25 million internationally on its release day. This is the topmost debut for any Salman Khan- directed movie, breaking the record set by Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Despite facing competition from the Marvel movie’ The Marvels’, Tiger 3 managed to earn big bucks. It also achieved significant collections in Gulf regions and the United Kingdom. With the extended Diwali break in India, the film is expected to continue its successful run.

Salman Khan’s highly- anticipated movie, Tiger 3, was off to a booming start at the box office when it hit theatres this Sunday. The movie which raked in an impressive Rs 40 crore at the Indian box office, scored an equally impressive international debut.

The movie scored an impactful milestone by grossing approximately USD2.25 million on its release day at the North American box office.

According to reports, this is the topmost debut for any Salman Khan- led movie. With this new record, it surpasses the collections of 2015′ sBajrangi Bhaijaan, which held the topmost collection of USD 740K.

This also Salman’s second million- dollar collection in the US, after Bajrangi Bhaijaan crossed the 1 million mark on the second day( Saturday) of its release.

The film managed to rake in the big bucks, despite going up against the Marvel superhero movie’ The Marvels’. The film, a sequel to the 2019 Brie Larson- led’ Captain Marvel’, opened with just$ 47 million, less than a third of the$153.4 million its predecessor launched with before ultimately taking in$1.13 billion worldwide.

According to reports on news portals Tiger 3 earned an estimated USD 850K in Gulf regions, with the shows commencing on Saturday evening. The United Kingdom also generated GBP 160K.

The extended Diwali break in India is expected to only boost its business in the days ahead.
