Yuzvendra Chahal’s great comeback in Team India after a long gap.
Yuzvendra Chahal is ready to make a comeback in the Indian team after almost 11 months, he has got a place in the team for the ODI series against South Africa. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced the team lineup for the upcoming South African tour, where Chahal confirmed his place in the blue jersey for the three-match ODI series.
Chahal was earlier included in the Indian team for the West Indies tour but he did not get a chance to play. He was not part of the squads for the Asia Cup or the ICC ODI World Cup, further prolonging his wait for a comeback into the national team.
Expressing his happiness, the veteran spinner shared a picture in the Indian blue jersey on social media and captioned it, ‘Here we go.’ Fans expressed excitement about Chahal’s return, and suggested that his selection for the ODI series was deserved. And some also noted the importance of making the most of second chances in life.
Chahal’s international cricket career consists of 152 matches for India, with 217 successes in 148 innings. In ODIs, he has taken 121 wickets in 69 innings at an average of 27.13, and in T20s, he has taken 96 wickets in 79 innings at an average of 25.09.
